Sharing with you tips to get noticed on social media with your photos so that people stop scrolling:
.
Be Selective
It’s important to know that every photographer, even a very experienced or talented one, gets some average shots. The reason for their impressive portfolio is that they only display their very best work; they don’t bore the viewer with ten photos of a nearly identical scene.
.
So if you want your work to stand out when sharing your photos on Facebook or Instagram, less is more. Narrow it down to just a few very good photos. You may have shot hundreds of photos during your hike, holiday or family occasion, but by displaying too many of them, you’re obscuring the 3 or 5 really great shots that you got!
.
Shoot in the early morning and evening
Lighting can make or break a photo, and the early morning and evening are the best times of day for taking photos versus the harsh light at midday. In photography, the hour just after the sun rises or before it sets is called the “golden hour,” because the sun is lower in the sky and the light is softer and warmer with a golden hue.
.
Whether you’re shooting landscapes or portraits, using the early morning or evening light can give your photos a warm feel with its beautiful glow and the long shadows.
.
Create eye catching composition
There are many elements in photography that come together to make an image be considered “good”. Elements like lighting, the rule of thirds, lines, shapes, texture, patterns, and color all work well together to add interest and a great deal of composition in photographs.
